Worthys Youth FC Celebration Day 2026
Worthys Youth FC’s 2026 Celebration Day was a fantastic occasion that truly captured everything great about the club – with 27 teams, over 420 players and more than 60 coaches coming together, the day was a huge success despite the terrible weather.
Held at Worthies Sports & Social Club, the event brought together players, families and volunteers to celebrate a brilliant season of grassroots football, with presentations, activities and a fun day atmosphere running throughout.
It was especially pleasing to welcome several new teams attending for the first time, while also marking some emotional goodbyes. The U18 Reds, led by coach Paul Findley, played their final season after progressing all the way from Under 6s, and after 11 years of dedication, Toby Peter-Simmonds stepped down from the U16 Reds – both moments reflecting the deep commitment that defines Worthys Youth FC.
A huge thank you goes to the club committee for their tireless organisation and to Worthies Sports & Social Club for hosting us so brilliantly. Thanks also to everyone who supported the day’s fundraising, with nearly £3,000 raised to support the club’s continued development. The Celebration Day raffle, featuring prizes such as a signed England shirt, hospitality tickets and luxury experiences, proved a big hit with attendees.
